St. Patrick’s Day Parades 2015

saffron-paradeIf you are Irish, you know why the month is called March.  In addition to the big parade in Manhattan on St. Patrick’s Day, many communities in the tri-state area also hold parades.  So they don’t have to compete for pipers and marchers, they hold these parades on the weekends before and after St. Patrick’s Day, which is March 17.

Begins at the East Islip Library and travels west along Main Street (Montauk Highway) to Irish Lane.

Rockaway, Queens, NY – 1pm
Starts at Beach 130th & Newport Ave.  Parade route is down Newport Ave., across Beach 116th St., down Rockaway Beach Blvd. ending by the St. Camillus parking lot on Beach 100th St.


King’s Park, NY – 12pm
Starts at the corner of Lou Ave. & Pulaski Rd., continues down Main St., turns onto Church St., and ends down Old Dock Road at the William T. Rogers Middle School.

Stamford, CT – 12pm
Columbus Park


Seaside Heights, NJ – 12pm
Starts at J Street in Seaside Park, heads north on The Boulevard to Hancock Ave.

South Amboy, NJ – 2pm
Starts on South Pine Ave. at Portia St., heads to Bordentown Ave. to South Stevens, to Main St., to Broadway, ending at George St.

Wappingers Falls, Duchess County, NY – 1pm
Parade starts on West Main St., goes on Rt. 90 to Elm St., then north on S. Mesier St.

The Parade starts on Rt. 110 just north of the Huntington Train Station along New York Ave. before turning west onto Main Street ending at Saint Patrick’s Church

Starts on Ocean Ave. at 4th St., heads south to Cookman Ave. to Main St.

Parade route begins at E. Tremont & Lafayette Ave., continues down Tremont, right onto Harding Ave. ending at Harding & Brinsmade Ave.

Starts at Lincoln Park and goes north up Kennedy Blvd to Journal Square


Eastchester, NY – 3pm
Parade starts from Immaculate Conception School and proceeds north on Main St.

The Parade runs up Edgemere Road, turns on to Main St. and finishes at the end of Main St.
