The 2018 NFL season ended once again without the Giants or Jets in the playoffs. The NFL playoffs began with Wild Card weekend on January 5 & 6, 2019. After the 2018 season, twelve teams have advanced to the playoffs:
4 division winners and 2 Wild Cards in each conference.
The Colts, Chargers, Cowboys & Eagles won the Wild Card games. The Chiefs, Patriots, Saints & Rams won the Divisional Playoffs, advancing to the Conference Championships on Sunday, January 20. The Los Angeles Rams and New England Patriots prevailed (both games were decided in over-time) to advance to Super Bowl LIII on Sunday, February 3, 2019.
