The 2020 MLB playoffs starts on September 29 and continues throughout the month of October. This year, for the first time, sixteen teams made the playoffs, with the first round consisting of a best-of-three Wild Card Round, followed by Divisional Series, League Championship Series, and the World Series, scheduled to begin on October 20.
In the American League, the New York Yankees will play the Cleveland Indians in the Wild Card round. Other match-ups in the AL include Tampa Bay Rays vs. Toronto Blue Jays; Oakland A’s vs. Chicago White Sox; and Houston Astros vs. Minnesota Twins.
In the National League, the Wild Card match-ups are: Los Angeles Dodgers vs. Milwaukee Brewers; Atlanta Braves vs. Cincinnati Reds; Chicago Cubs vs. Miami Marlins; and San Diego Padres vs. St. Louis Cardinals.
The Yankees, Rays, A’s, and Astros have moved on to the A.L. Divisional Series.
The Dodgers, Marlins, Padres, and Braves have advanced to the N.L. Divisional Series.
The Dodgers and Braves advanced to the N.L. Championship Series.
The Houston Astros and Rays advanced to the A.L. Championship Series.
The Dodgers and Rays won the pennant!
