Meat Packing BarsNYC’s famous Meat Packing District is an area on the west side of Manhattan, west of Eighth Ave. to the Hudson River and south of 16th St. on the west side.  Once home to New York’s meat packing industry, it has evolved from the gritty industrial area from which it got its name, to a high-end shopping and upscale nightlife destination.
