Congratulations to the NY Celtic Music Meetup Group on their 4th anniversary. Kudos to their organizer Dennis Callaghan and his team of assistants (I am proud to be one). They are such a friendly bunch. I have made several real friendships (not just virtual ones) since joining.
The meetup group for NY’s Celtic music lovers has hosted over 250 events for their 800+ members. Celtic music lovers can join them at: meetup.com/nycelticmusicmeetup-com
They are celebrating tonight at the place where the group began: The weekly trad seisiun at Dempsey’s Pub. (Seisiun is Irish for session).

NY Celtic Music Meetup 4-Year Anniversary Party
Members get a special gift upon arrival, and everybody can enjoy two drinks promotions going on tonight: one for Jameson’s Irish Whiskey and another for Sam Adams Beer, featuring free drinks, giveaways and the Jameson’s Girls.
Dempsey’s Pub hosts NYC’s longest running open session. (That does not mean it is a “beginner’s” session by the way; it simply means ALL are welcome). Lead by host John Nevin, the session features a vast array of regulars and visitors. And every few weeks, the will feature a world renowned musician as their special guest.
Upcoming featured musicians:
February 15 Liz Hanley (fiddle)
March 15 Scott Mettey (Mr. Music)
April 5 Joey Mullen (accordion)
April 26 Linda Hickman (flute/whistle)
May 17 Matt Mancuso (fiddle)
June 7 Tony DeMarco (fiddle)
