R.I.P. Brian Monaghan (1964-2015)


We are shocked and saddened to learn of the sudden passing of Brian Monaghan.

Brian was from Bay Ridge and lived in Long Beach, NY. A retired NYPD officer, he was well known in the New York Irish music scene as he was enjoying a second career as a talented musician and entertainer. He has played all over town, but is particularly well known in Bay Ridge, Breezy Point, Rockaway and Long Beach.

The list of places Brian has performed includes:
Pipin’s Pub, Cabana, Rocky Sullivan’s, The Irish Circle, Harbor Light, Donovan’s, Marty O’Brien’s, Bungalow Bar, Mason Jar, Belle Harbor Yacht Club, Browers, Sonny’s Canal House, Dalton’s, The Sugar Bowl and many more.

Visitation: Wednesday, May 20, 2015: 7-9pm, Thursday, May 20, 2-4pm and 7-9pm
