Legendary New York City writer Pete Hamill will receive the 2014 Eugene O’Neill Lifetime Achievement Award from Irish American Writers and Artists at their annual celebration. The award will be presented during a festive evening at the Manhattan Club in the Times Square district, just a few blocks north from where O’Neill was born on October 16, 1888.
