You’ll witness:
career defining videos from a-ha & Dire Straits; Sting & David Lee Roth go solo, while Phil Collins dominates charts, soundtracks & duets; Duran Duran & its two spinoff bands Power Station & Arcadia hit the charts; Wham made it big & Madonna was like a virgin while Hall & Oates got out of touch; soundtracks logged hits from The Breakfast Club, Back to the Future, A View to a Kill, St. Elmo’s Fire, Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome & even Beverly Hills Cop (riding high from Dec 84 release); the PMRC try to label the music & Mr. Mister takes these broken wings; Prince goes paisley & Chaka Khan/Sheena Easton/The Time score with Prince-penned hits; Tears For Fears rule the world & shout while the Replacements’ anti-video “Bastards of Young” gives MTV the middle finger; and we recall one-hit wonders from Animotion & Murray Head & so much more
