The Town of Hempstead’s Camp ANCHOR (Answering the Needs of Citizens with Handicaps through Organized Recreation) is a year-round recreation program operated by the Town of Hempstead, acting through its Department of Parks & Recreation.

The ANCHOR Program Fund, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit charity. The mission of the Fund is to provide special activities, special programs, supplies and equipment that enhance the ANCHOR program experience for its participants. The Fund is able to fulfill its mission largely through donations from generous donors.
