2014 Nathan’s Famous Hot Dog Eating Contest
The annual Nathan’s hot dog eating contest, held on the 4th of July at Nathan’s in Coney Island, takes place on Surf Ave. in Brooklyn. According to NathansFamous.com, the contest has been held each year since 1916 (with two exceptions: 1941 and 1971).

Schedule of Activities:
10am – Entertainment begins on Main Stage
11 a.m – George Shea opens the 98th Annual Hot Dog Eating Contest
11:15 am – Introduction of Women Contestants
11:30 am – Women’s Contest Begins
12 pm – ESPN2 show begins
12:30 pm – Introduction of Male Contestants
12:40 pm – Men’s Contest Begins
12:55 pm – Trophy Presentation
