New York Bar Owner Makes an Offer to Jimmy Vesey

[Update – August 19: It worked!]

Tom Dwyer, owner of The Blarney Rock, an Irish pub & sports bar near Madison Square Garden, has made rising hockey star Jimmy Vesey an offer he can’t shouldn’t refuse.  Via a post on facebook, Dwyer is offering to make the Hobey Baker Award winner’s stay in New York much more enjoyable if he signs with the New York Rangers.

The 23-year old Vesey is currently testing the free-agent market, and would add needed youth and scoring to the NY Rangers (and perhaps to the Blarney Rock as well).  Having a running tab at The Blarney Rock could help sweeten the perks of playing for the Broadway Blueshirts. To up the ante, Mr. Dwyer adds: “Any other bars want to add to this promise?”
