The 2016 MLB playoffs started on October 4 and continues throughout the month of October. (The World Series may even end in November). The Wild Card round saw the Toronto Blue Jays advancing to join the Boston Red Sox, Texas Rangers and Cleveland Indians in the AL Division Series; and the San Francisco Giants joining the Chicago Cubs, Washington Nationals and Los Angeles Dodgers in the NL Division Series.
The Indians, Blue Jays, Cubs and Dodgers have punched their ticket to the League Championship Series. The Indians beat the Blue Jayes 4-1, the Cubs beat the Dodgers 4-2 to set up a World Series match-up of Indians vs. Cubs.
