Coney Island Polar Bear Club New Year’s Day Celebration

Join the Coney Island Polar Club for their traditional New Year’s Day celebration.
Meet on the Boardwalk at Stillwell Avenue at noon with your bathing suit,
some surf boots or old sneakers and plenty of warm clothes.
Changing facilities are provided by the NYC Parks Department.
Swim at 1pm sharp. Arrive early to take advantage of all the pre-swim activities.

The Coney Island Polar Bear Club supports Camp Sunshine,
a retreat for children with life-threatening illnesses and their families.
All participants are encouraged to make a generous pledge
to this worthwhile organization that supports many New York families.

Please consider sponsoring our friend James Quigley, who is raising funds for Camp Sunshine, a camp for terminally ill children and their families.

Post-swim reception at Peggy O’Neill’s:
