The current coronavirus (COVID 19) pandemic, and the unprecedented efforts to help stop the spread, have resulted in a devastating shut down of the hospitality industry. While some New York City restaurants and bars have remained open for take-out and delivery, others have shut down completely, with hopes to re-open when safe to do so.
Many business have created funding campaigns to help support the workers that have been forced out of work.
The Thirsty Scholar in the East Village is holding a GoFundMe campaign. The 100% of donations will go directly to the staff of The Thirsty Scholar.
