The first Republican debate of the 2016 primary season is tonight, August 6, 2015 (yes, we still have more than a year of this stuff). Since there are so many candidates, Fox decided that the top ten in the polls will get the prime-time slot, and the next seven candidates will be at “the kids table”, debating at 5pm ET. (a.k.a. The Happy Hour Debate).
I think they should have done the debates tournament-style, like the NCAA March Madness brackets with 4 regions: Senators, Governors, Nut Jobs, with Trump getting a bye to the quarterfinals.
