Canada Day at Third & Long

Known as one of NYC’s premier hockey bars, Third & Long naturally draws lots of Canadian ex-pats, so they will say thank you by hosting a Canada Day celebration. Third & Long’s manager Curtis says to “expect a night of great music from well known Canadian bands such as Arctic Fire, The Tragically Hip, Neil Young, Shad the Whale, Alanis Morrissette, Avril Lavigne and dare I say it….. Annual Canada Day Shows at Joe’s Pub

Celebrate Canada’s 144th birthday with this all-star celebration of the Great Canadian Songbook, produced and emcee’d by Jeff Breithaupt and featuring a stellar international line-up, including:
Tyley Ross (East Village Opera Company, The Who’s Tommy),
Greg Naughton (The Sweet Remains),
singer-songwriters Jamie Leonhart, Joe Hurley, Anthony da Costa, and Kate Schutt,
Cabaret spitfire Shelley McPherson,
Tony Salvatore (BETTY, Pleasuredog),
Shannon Connolly (Lez Zeppelin),
chanteuses Lezlie Harrison, Melissa Stylianou, and Victoria Cave (Brooklyn Rundfunk Orkestrata, Cabaret, Steely Dan),
all backed by the all-star “Workin’ for the Weekend House Band”
led by Music Director Peter Kiesewalter (Brooklyn Roadfunk Orkestrata, East Village Opera Company).
