Texan-Owned NYC Bar Raising Funds for Houston

For Avenida Cantina in the East Village, Hurricane Harvey has literally hit home. Two of the restaurant’s owners hail from Rockport, Texas, one of the Coastal Bend towns hit hardest by the storm. Part-owner Allison Baxley said, “It’s incredibly hard to be so far away at a time when our friends and family need us the most. So, we will do everything we can to help from here in New York. Texans in the City always come together to help their own and we’re fortunate to have a network of friends here willing to jump in and help in any way possible.”

They will be hosting fundraising events to benefit those hit hard by the devastating floods:

Thursday, August 31, 2017: 8pm
Avenida Cantina is the official game watch location for NYC Houston Texans fans.
They will be collecting donations during the Texans vs Cowboys pre-season football game
