Surge Protector Release Party
A new craft beer just released, Surge Protector IPA, will raise funds for hurricane relief. Sandy Relief Beer is a collaborative relief effort by eight local breweries after Hurricane Sandy devastated Long Island and destroyed Barrier Brewing Company in Oceanside. Participants from the Long Island brewing community gathered at Blue Point Brewing Company in December to brew Surge Protector IPA, with each brewery donating an ingredient to create a new India Pale Ale. Proceeds from the sale of this beer will benefit Long Island Cares, Inc. and Barrier Brewing Company in Oceanside.
